Little Fish Publishing Ltd had printed the first two children's books in the Clay the Cromer Crab series directly using a reputable Norfolk Print House. Although happy with the initial two books, they felt the colour reproduction of the water colour illustrations (a key feature of the books) could be improved.  "Although print seconds being returned by resellers were minimal, they were causing additional administration". With a view to increasing quality while maintaining costs they contacted Muse Print Management Services.

Muse Print Management Services was provided with copies of the first two books in the series and asked to quote to produce book three on similar stock and using the same print process and binding process. MUSE were told to ensure the books maintained shelf presence and were seen as part of a series. As the books were to be packed & shipped directly to the resellers it was crucial to have faith in MUSE's quality control processes.  They needed to ensure that a box containing 40 books would include 40 high quality saleable items.  This would help to remove the administrative burden imperfect books caused to Little Fish Publishing and their Resellers.

MUSE Print Management Solutions delivered the third book in keeping with the first two, whilst also providing superior illustration colour reproduction. As per our original brief and quotation we saved the client 20% when compared to their previous book production costs, enabling them to freeze the RRP of their latest book in a year which had seen paper costs and utilities bills push up printing prices in general. To date Little Fish Publishing has enjoyed a 100% quality delivery record for Book 3, with no returns.
